Exercise and sport science

The Associate of Science degree in Exercise and Sport Science program is designed to prepare each student for a successful career as an entry-level Exercise Specialist. The curriculum places emphasis on general health, fitness, and nutrition in conjunction with professional behaviors and technical skills. The Bachelor of Science degree in Exercise and Sport Science program is designed to prepare students to conduct health and fitness assessments, monitor individuals with exercise prescriptions, and make lifestyle modifications for clients.

 

You will learn about strength and conditioning, kinesiology, motor development, and physiological adaptations to exercise. Beyond your core courses in health, fitness, nutrition, and exercise physiology, if you are enrolled in the BS in Exercise and Sport Science degree program, you can also choose from three different concentrations to pursue a career that suits your interests and goals.
